A local shop has this for sale and it's very sketchy. First of all, the headstock says Warwick Streamer LX Jazzman. Second, the pickup configuration is very odd, there is a jazz and split-p. Third, the price they are asking is only $899 US. Take a look at the pics and give me some opinions. Are there any fake warwicks out there?!
    the serial number is A-090240-02

Like JMX said, it looks like regular streamer.
  8. Probably someone has replaced the trussrod cover which is where the model name is.

Yep, I'm pretty sure that's the case, and for $899.00 I'd buy it in a heartbeat
  10. The last two digits of the serial number are the year, so it does appear to be an '02. I thought that Warwick stopped using wenge for the necks around '97...

IMO, the neck-wood looks like regular Ovenkol which Warwick has been using for quite a few years now. At least it doesnt't differ from the necks I've recently seen on Warwicks.

  12. Not sure when they stopped using it, but mine is a 98' and it has an all wenge neck.
  13. bottom line is, how does it sound to you?

does it sound like youd pay 900 dollars for it :D

  16. i got a corvet stnd that has a proline russ rod cover, if u watch on ebay people do that all the time so they can trick some one in to thinking its a diffent bass.

The RockBass Streamer has two really weird looking thick pickups..
I think what happened was that it's a regular Streamer and someone put a false thruss rod cover on it.

It looks 100% like a Streamer LX don't ya think?

    You are 100% correct.

You can also order the correct truss rod cover
    that says 'Streamer LX'

Yah, at $899 this is kind of a steal, especially for Canada.
