I have an 88 warwick pro streamer, flamed maple body natural finish, after my last gig i noticed it's getting black around where I plant my thumb and near the top of the body that my arm rest on. Any idea how to clean it? I tried music nomad no luck then some light soap with lemon no luck? any suggestions?
    Thanks

Some 409, or Spray Nine, will cut through the worst of it, just protect the strings and pickups from over spray. After the worst of it is off the finish will be sticky, for satin, or matte finish, you can add a nylon scrubbie into the mix. If it is a gloss finish, continue as you have been, soap and water. It took you years to get that combination of sweat, dirt, and skin onto the finish, getting it off is going to take some time.
