Warwick Quad VI with Eden 115xlt Cab

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by stompfrog, Feb 9, 2006.

  1. Hello,

My bass rig was unti last night. Warwick Quad VI head with W115-pro and W210-pro warwick cabs. However I just bought a Eden 115xlt cab and am now a bit confused.

I was connecting all the warwick stuff with speakon cables however the new eden cab has only 1/4" jack connections. The head has one speakon output and one XLR output.

Do I therefore need to get an XLR-->1/4" speaker cable to connect my head to my new cab?

Also what is the difference between an instrument cable and speaker cable?

    Many thanks :)

  2. yes, you will need a speakon to .250" speaker cable. speaker cables have much thicker (lower gauge number) wires than instrument cables. also, instrument cables have shielding to reject radio frequency interference (RFI), since their signal levels are much lower.
