I've never heard of a short-scale Warwick ever. Except maybe the Knobby Meidel... Were those short scales?

You'd probably be better off getting a short-scale custom bass from an independant builder, using 'Wickish woods and electrics. It'd probably end up costing you less, for an, (arguably,) better bass.

Ah! You're right! 30", 32" and 35" all seem to be a new option.

I may actually consider a Thumb now someday, as they wouldn't be so off balance.

Actually, the different scale lengths have been an option on the Warwick BO basses for some time now. One can be ordered through any authorized Warwick dealer. Do not try and order one through Dana B. Goods. If they would even sell one to you, it will be at full retail. Order one through a dealer and you will pay less than full retail.

I agree, there is so little or no room for price negotiation since they are "THE" distributor.
