Warwick standard vs rockbass

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by ModulusMaster, Apr 28, 2002.

  1. I was wondering if anyone knew if their was a big difference in the warwick rockbass models vs. the standard models...whats the difference between the 5 string streamer for 700 bucks or the 5 string se rockbass for 700 bucks? I mean, is the workmanship of the rockbass different or the sound?
  2. the rockbasses are made from standard wood (maple neck, rosewood board, etc)., which isnt a bad thing. Warwick streamer stds have a carolena body, ovankol neck, and wenge fingerboard. Rockbasses have shiny paint and warwicks have natural finishes where you can still the the wood detail. Not sure of the electronics on the rockbasses.
  3. The rockbass sounds great, but the warwick streamer std sounds a little fuller ( more lows ).
But that's coz of the woods used i think..
personally i would prefer the std, coz the neck is thicker than the rockbass..

    try them...
