Warwick streamer growl?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by themajorrager, Aug 18, 2005.

  1. just want to know if anyone has any experience with the warwick stream LX? i would like to know if it has the famous warwick growl? the actual one i have seen advertised though has the MEC soapbar humbuckers as opposed to the JJs - would this make any difference?

My go to bass is a streamer lx6 broadneck. It has MEC soapbars, and yes, it will growl when I want it to. I love this bass, but strangely never been into the thumb series of stuff.

I've never tried the LX, but I tried the Standard (STD) with the single humbucker and it was quite growly. I imagine the LX is even more so. The only problem i had with the std was that the low E slapped was a bit weak. Try it out first to make sure you like it!
