Anyone own or have first-hand experience with a Warwick Streamer Stage II four string? I've been offered one in trade. It has the MEC J/J's with MEC 18 volt preamp, 7 piece neck through (wenge/afzalia (sp?)) with afzalia body, d-tuner on 'E' string, gold hardware, red gloss finish, yin/yang neck inlays. Any known issues with this model? Any year-related manufacturing issues (like pre-Gibson Tobias for example)? This one's a 1995. Warwick website says 10.56 pounds (?). Yikes! TIA for any help.

  2. Its a great bass and i dont think it has any issues, but what are you trading for it?

Great based on what? Compared to what? When did Warwick's stop being hand made?

i'll just say that i've played zons, roscoes, elricks, moduluses, tobiases, US spectors, alembics, ken smiths, and a handful of other high enders...

and nothing touches my 98 SSII 5 string. tone, feel, vibe...it's all there.

if you like growl - then this is the bass for you. what are you trading it for?
