So i went to the going out of business sale at a music store in Charlotte NC. The place didn't have much there but what they did have I was surprised was still there. I went with a buddy of mine b/c he doesn't know much about basses (not a beginner, just doesn't play or know much about them) and he was about to buy a Warwick Streamer Standard. I was iffy about the bass.. but I plugged it up and I was pleasantly surprised. The bass was going for like $550 brand new (maybe $575) w/o case or strap... So I walk up to the sales clerk who was trying to get everyone to leave b/c it was closing time (I had class until 5 and traffic was bad on the interstate) and I was like can you throw in a strap with this bass.. He looks at my friend, remembers him from the previous day and says "pick out any strap you want under $20.00 and I'll get you a case".. so he ends up picking out a $30.00 on sale from $50.00 strap and the dude was like "yeah it fits you... take it"... so all in all he is paying $600 for a bass strap and case... its such a sweet bass too... sorry. just thought i'd share my joy for another man's bass :)

    Good Deal!

Any time you can get a deal like that on a bass it's a good thing. And if it's a Warwick, even better.

  4. I've got a Streamer Standard, too. I really like it, no matter how much everybody dumps on it. It's pretty simple, with no extras, but ti sounds pretty good. Not a lot of coloration. does that guys bass have one or two pups? Mine is a fiver with two soaps, and it gets plenty of tones for me.

  5. Yeah i have a 2 pup 4 String Streamer Standard and i love it, It sounds great and feels great, and looks great and and and... its good.

At GC here in Dallas the 4 is ~$550 and the 5 is ~$650.

They are decent basses for the price. The only reason that people dump on them is that you can get a much better bass for the same price, such as an MTD Kingston, MTD Heir, Ibanez BTB, Cort Artisan, MIM Fender Deluxe Jazz, etc.
