  1. All praise eBay!!!

My precious will be arriving on Friday!
Woods bubinga body, 7 piece neck bubinga and ovankol, wenge finger board!

I know it was bought new in 93 by its previous owner but was curious as to whether that meant it was made then (or earlier) and whether it is a vintage year or not?

Anyone good with serial numbers... G 3031 9?

I can't wait till Friday! :bassist:

  2. I found the following on a thread on TB...

    x-yyyy-zz

    x - a/jan b/feb etc - that make mine July
y - then the next 4 numbers are the issue number for that number bass of that year
z - then the last 2 digits are the year it was made.

Mine has only got a 9 does that make it 1990? Or a ltd ed. Jesus Christ 200 year anniversary model from AD199?

    That is correct

It can't have just a 9, the digits must be two.
    A 1990 would be 90.
Judging from the number 3031, I think that 92-93 shoud be correct.
Maybe the last digit is somehow hidden by the wood figure or laminates
