I remember trying to purchase this bass last year. The guy was like nobody wants a 6 string thumb since it is a niche instrument. It was gone by the next time I talked to him online. Ended up getting a Dingwall NG-2 and a Warwick Corvette German Pro $$ 5 instead. Wondering if I made a mistake about that? :) That bass still looks awesome. I know someone is going to be happy to have that in their collection.

I stopped in after driving back from Wooten Woods and was blown away by the quality on this bass. I love the warwick sound- I've owned corvette, thumb BO, FNA jazzman and an SSII in past years...all sweet, but the post-2013 instruments are in a whole different league!

Yeah I have a 2016 corvette $$ 5. It drops the bass sooooo hard. It took me a while to used to not using so much bass. Other guitars I've owned need the bass cranked to the max. I'm on the edge of selling my gear so I can pick up this thumb 6. That seriously is the last bass that I want. The sound clips I've heard are pretty insane.

This is going to sound dumb but how does it have a wenge neck through and solid bubinga body with the neck covered? Is there a separate piece of bubinga going over the whole front of the bass?

Please forgive my ignorance. I was just wondering.

They call it a "hidden" neck through design. To the best of my knowledge, it's one single piece of bubinga pommele, all deeply figured, which is part of what makes it so beautiful. Sorry I don't know more- I don't build them, just collect :)
