I've been told that this is a factory fit Bartolini preamp in my 1990 Warwick Streamer Stage One V. I thought that I'd like to share and also ask if any of you can identify it beyond a Bartolini preamp. The control layout as you look at it in the picture is:

                Volume (p/p active/passive)
    Pan Treble

My warwick thumb has the same preamp.....looks exactly the same and is from the same year as well!!!!

I always thought it was an mec preamp matches to the bartolini jazz pickups because the spearate battery cover had an mec label.
I guess you've proved me wrong. My digital camera is in china right now, but when I get it, I'll try to snap some preamp pics.

I looked at the picture again, and the similarity is seriously striking.
Beyond the threaded insert screwholes (snap on cover on mine) and the control layout, they look amazingly similar....you won't even believe it.

P.S. Which month does your come from? I wonder if we have sisters on our hands.....though not twins.

    near detroit...uh
    100% MEC!
    Not bart stuff.

I bought several old 90 and 92 streamer preamps and they looked identical to that.

    Problem solved!

My '89 Streamer Limited Edition has the same preamp and Warwick's own Stefen Manz (all hail) has confirmed that it's a MEC.

Hey, after looking at your pictures I checked out my battery clip and it has MEC on it too. So that's cool. I'm actually in the process of swapping out the original preamp for a Demeter 3 band pre - tasty!
