wattage in my cottage

  1. ok, ive got a nice '68 bassman 50w head and 2x15 cab. i am thinking of getting maybe a 4x10 cab for some different tone. im not a gear head compared to most of you fellas. so is this a good idea or would this be a waste of money? (btw, this is just for use at home for fun and practice)
     
  2. I think that it's a waste of money.
    2- 15's which is what i use will give you a full rounder sound.
    Now the 4 - 10's will give you more punch and projection, more projection because smaller speakers move quicker. but you'll lose some fullness. And since this is for practiceing at home Your not going to need the projection.
    You can manipulate your EQ so punch won't suffer at all.
    Stay where you are man,your just fine
