Can I bridge an Ampeg svt 4pro (1200 watts continuous , 1600 peak) into a bxt 4x10 600 rms (1200 program) without blowing it up? I want a little more head room than I am getting with running the cab on just one channel (490 continuous).

Most guys will tell you that's no problem. It's better to overpower a speaker rather than underpower it.

True but it still requires caution. Keep an eye on the speakers and try not to over-rev them. If you need more volume even after you bridge the amp, get a second cab before you push this one too far.
