Imagine if you just has a 220 watt amp, and a 480 watt amp. Is a 220 watt amp worth $150? So, is it worth having an extra 220 watts for $150? YES! But really, this will give you more headroom more than anything else, they will both probably get as loud but the 700 watt one will not distort as easily and will probably have more bottom end. I've had long conversations with techs at SWR about stuff like this. Those guys are more than willing to explain all this technical junk to us 'laymans'

If you've got the $150 go for it! Top end 'loudness' might not be a whole lot more, but as BassWhore says you get headroom, and much cleaner delivery up top than you would with the lower powered amp, which may begin to distort!
