    Hey Guys,

As some of you know I build guitars and basses and we're finally able to 30" and 32" scales!!!

For the first one I'm thinking a short scale hollow body with 2 Mudbucker pickups, one right against the neck and one in the middle, thoughts? I've used the Curtis Novak Bi-Sonic with good results but that's a pricey pickup!

I was thinking the Curtis Novak EB-0's since he can wire them up with a coil tap which sounds like a cool idea!

Here's a photo of the Bass VI I just finished and I'd be using the same shape. Post your thoughts!

Wow, I'd hit it. Hard. :D Hmmm, how much of my retirement do I want to burn?

Build a 35" scale fretless on that pattern (scaled up) with the Novak Dark Stars, I'll be floating... :)

Our prices are actually meant to be for the typical working musician! So no multi-thousand dollar instruments here! Of course 2 Novak Darkstars does boost the price a bit :p feel free to shoot me a message though!

I'm definitely thinking about the 2 Novak EB-0 pickups, I've got a crazy idea of using a 2-way switch and hooking up 2 different capacitors to it so I'd be able to switch between them like a mini-varitone. For the color I'm feeling burgundy mist metallic, maybe Sherwood green. So many ideas!

All sound like great ideas. Go with the green.

been thinking about maybe using the Seymour Duncan Mosrite bass pickups, however after reading the string spacing I'm a little hesitant, though I do have a set of the Ripper pickups(which are AWESOME) that I may use to gauge how the spacing will be with the Mosrites at the positions I want them to see how the strings will pass over the pole pieces, anyone have experience with Mosrites that can describe the tone? aren't any real good videos on Youtube of them :(

so I'm actually now thinking about using some Lace Alumitone Pickups, I'm thinking of using one of the Guitar shaped humbuckers like the Lowboy to keep things cleaner looking, I'm not a fan of traditional soapbar shaped pickups, after looking at the specs, the Deathbucker is closer to the same output and resistance as the bass pickups but I love the look of the Lowboys, decisions decisions....

So still in planning but also looking into Rio Grande Pitbull bass pickups, anyone with experience with these? I can't find any reviews of them :(
