The way Huge Saucy OD is on the Musicians Friend SDOTD for $69.99 today. I'm haveing trouble finding any bass reviews with sound clips. Anyone have any experience with this pedal? Is it worth it or should I look elsewhere? I'm looking for an organic sounding drive to add to my arsenal. I already have an Ampeg Scrambler and an EHX Hot Wax that I like. Will this give me anything I won't have with these?

I saw the same ad this morning and have kicked in my new weapon......resistance.

Yeah, it's only $69. But this is a good opportunity for you to learn to resist these deals and enjoy what you have. Both your pedals you mentioned will not be much different that the Saucy Box, which I hear is a sort of Klon hybrid, which in reality are not great on bass. This will be good practice for you to resist the next deal, and the next deal. This way you don't end up like me (and many others)......with a closet full of pedals that are all pretty much similar and I never use. I have a Hot Wax and it is amazing. Enjoy that instead.

Anyhow, with that caveat, if you want a decent overdrive that will give you not much mojo, vibe or special sauce, the Saucy Box seems like a good choice. After all, there is a reason it's being blown out for $69.

I have used one in the past. It’s not a klone, it works similar to a klone where the gain knob is a dual pot as you increase gain you turn down clean, but it is closer related to a pork loin. It’s great for light overdrive and is very touch responsive.
