I've been listening to a lot of Weather Report lately (with Jaco, of course), and I'd like to learn the bass parts to Birdland, Teen Town and A Remark You Made. I was wondering, does anyone know of any books that have the bass parts in them for those songs?? I'm just starting to read so I'm not able to read down the sheet and play, but if I spend time and listen to the song I'll figure it out.
    Thanks!

    Chris

  3. There is a WR song book, maybe by Hal Leonard.

A freind of mine has it for the keyboards, if I can get it to find it I will post the info. I am pretty sure HL made it though.

Pick up the Jamey Aebersold's 2001 Jazz catalog, it has enough great books and play along c.d.'s/tapes to order to keep you busy for life. Including one for Weather Report. The Weather Report book has trancriptions for bass/sax/keyboards and drums to 14 of their greatest hits.

I haven't actually purchased that book but I've picked up a few play alongs from them and they're all well worth the money, great stuff.
