Well, let's take it from Thursday night. It seems that the Influenza Elves felt that I'd been a good boy, so they left me a wicked case of the flu! They spared no expense, body aches, burning throat, congestion, coughing, and my chest feels like it's on fire! Oh no, nothing was too good for their little Woodchuck, they gave me the full monty! Fast forward to Sunday morning, my back goes out! I mean it REALLY goes out! My back muscle spasmed so bad that my torso is being pulled to one side. It actually looks kinda freakish. The only thing I can do is lie flat on my back, and hope that noone jostles the bed. Oh, did I mentioned the coughing? Needless to say, every cough causes a spasm in my back! Sleep, you say? HA! I don't see that happening for a while. For some odd reason, known only to the medicine gods, NOTHING is working! The cough suppressant, doesn't, and the Nyquil is MIA! I do realize that there are alot of people worse off than me, and would gladly trade places with me, but none of that changes the fact that THIS SUCKS!!!

    :( Sorry to hear it.
  3. Holy **** man, I don't know if I have ever had a case of the flu THAT bad. :bawl:

How about nausea? Were you at least spared the ability to eat solid food? If you can't eat either, I think I'd be complaining so much that my housemate would pull out a 12-gauge and put US out of our misery.

Good luck man. Try ingesting massive amounts of Chicken soup, bubby :D

Here's to hoping Woodchuck gets better so he can get back into the porn buisness. :D
  4. Play two old fenders and call me in the morning! :D
  5. wow woodchuck. i am so sorry you are feeling so bad. my poor niece this morning has the flu also. she woke up with a 103 temp, coughing, sneezing, congestion. she is 5. she is trying to eat some crackers right now because of the meds, and trying to drink some water. poor baby. then will lay in TT's bed, she does that when she is sick. she calls me TT by the way because when she was little she could not say Aunt Teal. she shortened it to TT. so i i can feel for you if you felt anything like my niece. get beeter soon and hope your back gets better also.

  6. Sorry to hear that Woodchuck, had the flu before and it sucks (although I think you've got a much worse case than I ever had).

And as for the back thing, yup, I put my back out a couple of times over the past few years! Once I couldn't straighten it - made sleeping a nightmare, I had to sit on the couch with my feet on achair with a quilt over me. My cats thought it was great and 'played' with me all night!

I know what you mean about the spasms - I managed (the time I could lie flat) to get to sleep, until the time my body decided to roll over, so the top starts, the hips begin to follow, the pain threshold is reached and I wake up feeling as if I'd been lightsabred!:bawl: Yup, I cried!

    Hope you get well soon!:)

    Hope you're feeling better, man.

I've had the flu and I've had back trouble -- can't say as I cared for either.
  8. If the lack of sleep is bothering you why not take some pills for that? Either that or get stoned off your face. I find that helps a cough usualy too... dont know why.

Trust me; the MIM Nyquil works much better than the MIA kind. Go get some of that instead. :D

Next season get a flu shot.

    I hope you feel better.

A couple of years ago my wife got me to get a flu shot, that year I did not get the flu. For some reason I have not had a flu shot since and I have had the flu. I get the "I TOLD YOU TO GET A FLU SHOT, BUT NOOOOOO.........".
