I recently picked this bass up thinking I would try 34” scale again now that I have recovered from my wrist surgery and, unfortunately, my wrist thinks otherwise. This is a fantastic looking and sounding bass, and if it weren’t for the wrist pain I would not be selling. However I would rather someone get to play it than it continue to hang on my wall.

This is a custom shape bass with an alder bodyy and a flame maple top. The neck is 3-pc. maple with flame maple on the back of the headstock, black pinstripes and an Indian Rosewood fretboard. EMG J-style pickups and EMG 2-band EQ preamp with a push / pull volume knob for EQ bypass.
It was completed in April of 2017 and photos are included on the Martin Keith website. There is not a scratch or blemish on the bass and it plays and sounds great.

Nut is 1 5/8” and th weight is 7.8 pounds on a digital luggage scale.

Comes with a new Protec gig bag that has hardly been used at all.

Asking $1650 shipped CONUS. Shipping elsewhere will be considered if the buyer pays any additional fees.

Also offered on Reverb for anyone looking for a financing option - Martin Keith Custom 4-string Bass | Chris's Gear Garage

For trades, the only thing I could really consider would be basses with less than 34” scale. No Fretless. If it is a 5-string it will need to have narrow sting spacing.

Thanks for looking. Photos are attached (some have been copied from Martin’s website and some I took today). Please PM with any questions or offers.
