  1. All of a sudden my little jazz combo has become a hit with a young event planner. In the pipeline is a private well to do party 1/4 day travelling, gig overnight, and back. Client covers our regular fee plus travel and accommodation, complicated by interfering with two of our day jobs, what to add on for the fuss?
  2. Oh dear, he turns out to be mentally unstable and rehospitalised, thought something might have been not quite right. Poor fellow.

It's already April 1st in NZ, folks.
  6. I should have twigged his "intensity" was more serious when he was booking us for a show later in the year. Dead set, he had some great promotional ideas, just not up to it.

This thread needs a Kiwi Babble-fish.
  8. Deadly serious case of bipolar overenthusiasm getting away on a young guy who fancied himself a promotor. Clear enough now?

Had he booked you before or would this have been the first?
  10. Already had the one booking, venue all confirmed, the flight one was a new one, possibly a fabrication.
  11. Before reading this thread, I thought I was a pretty smart guy. I think I might be wrong about that.
  12.:confused::confused: why you would downgrade your smartness.

I'm a pretty smart guy and I got taken on a flight of fancy by a guy off his meds, so not so smart as I could be.

I probably topped my cellphone minutes last month, no biggie, he's locked up.
