Weight of Walkabout Scout?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by chris_in_la, May 4, 2004.

  1. Does anybody know how much the Walkabout Scout weighs? Mesa Boogie doesn't list this info on their site.

Mesa told me that the Scout 12" combo weighs 50 lbs., the extension cab weighs 35 lbs., and the head weighs 13 lbs.

Did you do a search of TB? I think this has been answered before.

It's 50 lbs well spent. I have a Walkabout Scout and an Eden Metro. I have to be honest, I love my Metro, but in smaller venues, the Walkabout sounds every bit as good as the Metro, and it is a heckuva lot easier to carry around.
  5. Thanks everybody. I did do a search for the walkabout scout threads but didn't find any references to weight. Maybe I used the wrong search words.

50 lbs is a good weight. It's too bad that the design doesn't really allow for adding a dolly, though. My dream is to get a smallish combo, attach a dolly (ala the Euphonic Audio one), and just wheel it around. Oh well.
