So, I'm in marching band. We played at a competition yesterday afternoon. After we played, the pit packed up (including me) and we went back to the busses. The rest of the band came back and shared the comments everyone got. I was told that I bent pitches very well.... Uh.. I usually don't bend notes. But hey, a compliment is a compliment.

Maybe it was supposed to be "i like the dissonance your out of tune bass makes" or "damn, i like how he tunes up them purty peg things"

    Weird indeed.

I get complements on the use of scales I've never heard of all the time. Sometimes I just have to get from one note to another and grab everything on the way there. Who knows, maybe you are a stealth pitch bender.

  6. If the guy was dancing REALLY fast maybe it was the doppler effect...?
    :)
