So I just bought an (used) MXR dyna comp online, it arrived today and the first thing I noticed was the dc input, it was not a boss barrel style input, but a 3.5 mm input (i think that's the size?) and I was just wondering if it's a normal thing or maybe the previous owner changed it?
Before the Boss connecter became the norm there were several connection types used. There are adapter plugs for that style from One Spot and other makers. MXR, Systech, ProCo & EHX used that connecter back in the day.
Yeah, i have an andapter... So is this and older pedal? Is it possible to know how old just from the dc input?
Sorry can't help you there except to say that the original MXR pedals did not have that option, that feature was late 70's into 80's
