No Big Muffs or Fuzz Faces...I'm talking random and different. What are some weird/off-the-wall dirt boxes? (i.e. Source Audio Multiwave Distortion)

Probably not the weirdest I've played, but all I can think of right now is the Prunes & Custard

F*ck OD on the crackle setting, the great destroyer, infanem driving notion, any devi pedal at the right settings

  5. Earthquaker Devices The Terminal and Catalinbread Antichthon. I never got my head around either of them, so I never bought them. Still consider them really cool though!
    Maybe one day...

I forget about the Antichthon and I own one... Awesome pedal, goes from vibey tremolo that breaks up dynamically to oscillating fuzz/harsh noise generator

    The Mountainking is pretty wild.

Fulltone Octafuzz. I've owned two and they were both crazy!!!

For me it's the subdecay noise box. It took me a long time to find a sound I liked out of it but when I did it sure was fun.
Just took it of my board last night but I'm not sure for how long :)

The Source Audio Manta considering its a filter pedal. Killing the filter part and just using the fuzz is pretty awesome and has been my go to fuzz lately.

Mountainking Decomposer was the weirdest one that I got to play with (a shop in Philly had one in stock). The Copilot Orbit could get NICE and weird with the right settings.

The Sputnik is pretty crazy if you flip the switch from 'sync' to 'drift,' at which point the pedal loses its mind and becomes deranged.

Fairfield Unpleasant Surprise  I couldn't find a use for it, personally. Sounded CRAZY, though--in a good way!

  16. Austone Fuzz Nutz TexTone, very special and rare.

Systech Overdrive had an unusual band pass filter.

Brassmaster has always been a strange beast especially the modded ggg version I have now.

I also dig the fuzz on the EHX BMS and BassBalls.

  17. Weirdest that I have tried is the Copilot FX Orbit. My Gnomeratron VTF can get very weird when you mess with the feedback and oscillation switches or the power starve. The IdiotBox Lazer Fuzz is pretty dang weird too.

I've had a DOD Gonkulator Modulator: it's supposed to be a ring modulator, it also has a hi-gain distortion controlled through one of the pots.
It's a horrible distortion, if you also blend a little bit of ring modulator into it you get a disgusting lo-fi sound, which can be very fun to play with.
