Got to watch a lot of good musicians lip sync their tunes on American Bandstand.

RIP Dick Clark, thanks for the memories.

Did he really bite dust? Is that his cause of death?

Next NYE I'll pour a whole delicious beer on something in his honor.

Wouldnt that be a crappy way to die? Choking on dust...

  8. Another piece of our youth taken away. RIP Dick Clark.

  9. Bummer - I just saw it on the news that he died of a heart attack at 82. I grew up with him Saturday afternoons on American Bandstand, and also a fan of the Pyramid game show as well.

The really BAD news is that this leaves us with that weenie Ryan Seacrest to get through New Years' Eve!! YEEEEK!

Dick had a great run, and I thought he really was gutsy in his New Years gigs the past few years after his stroke. He saw a lot of fantastic music. R.I.P. Dick, and rock on!!

Sweet. So when are we going to throw his dinosaur *** into some carbonite and hang him in the middle of Time Square like a Christmas ornament? :p

    Thanks for the memories.

He turned a lot of kids onto Rock N Roll, he should be remembered for that.

Joke all you want, but this day deserves the title "The Day Rock and Roll Died" in honor of Dicks death just as much as when it is used for the day of Buddy Holly's death. Hard to imagine another more or even close to being as deserving as Dick Clark for our respect when it comes to Rock and Roll.

RIP Dick. We all owe you a lot.

iJazz - I have no problem with opinions. I'm always right.

There is already a thread in OT about this. One with a less disrespectful title.
