Well, I'm officially a 5-stringer (Reverend pics)

  1. I always thought I'd see the day, but not this soon. Here she is:

    This neck ain't going anywhere!

    The whole gorgeous Reverend family

Funny how the guitar has the biggest body of the lot.

This bass is totally flawless. Fit and finish are top notch. Supposedly there are two filled nicks on the back of the headstock but I seriously cannot find them. Awesome tuners, and of course the gorgeous Reverend neck I've come to expect. I'm even digging the B string, and I'm real picky about those.

The sound is different from my white 'fish, probably due to the heavier bridge, the scale length and the pickup placement. This one sounds more active/modern. Sounds almost Stingray-like on parallel setting.

Pardon me, I've gotta go now, and figure out how to work this fifth string.

    Great collection you have there!

    You'll get that fifth string.

Beautiful! I like the black/gold combination on the body, and the maple fretboard on the fiver is a lot less common than rosewood.

Awesome! I love the way they all look together as well - not identical but using the same black/white/gold scheme.

Very nice. I darn near bought one on Monday, but I've decided to address my rig issue instead.

My wife has given me the "green light" to go for a Bergantino IP 310, so I'm jumping at the chance. :hyper: :D

I'm not surprised the tone is a little different... could be the thicker neck, the longer scale, or simply the fact that wood is a variable rather than a constant. Regardless, I hope to see her at the next GTG.

Nice. I've had my eye ou for a mple fish 5 for a while. Sounds clips?
  8. Guess it depends on what you play, but I really dig starting my positions on that 5th string. I do blues-based rock, so I use it OFTEN! My poor 4 string is lonely.

NICE " BRACE OF AXE" You have there!

    Me, too!

Congrats on a very pretty bass. I'm sure it's quite a player, too!

Beauty! Nice score Ian! But personally I think it'd look better with a black pickgaurd... ;)

Mine should come in next week sometime!!!
  12. Maple's how I roll, homie.

Yeah, she'll be at the next DCGTG!
