    hmmm, conventional 9v batteries are expensive enough....

    How does a preamp get rid of dead spots on the neck again?

    Yeah, explain that to me, too. My Pedulla has a slight dead spot at the classic 5th fret G string, and the Bart preamp doesn't help one bit.:rolleyes:

    That one kind of stumped me too. I would have serious problems taking them seriously if they seriously believe that. Seriously. :)

    i heard from testers that it also enabled them to play in time, and the built in compensator for poor taste and vapid cliche'-ism was a big hit with the jazz guys.

    It's a preamp. Maybe it has some type of built in compression-like gain stage.

    Also gives any 4-string the range of a 7. Ooohhh, that's gotta hurt.

    P.S. saw LotR, finally get your middle sig
