I decided to run over to GC today, and see what they had hanging around. It was a good day; this is what I dinked around on:

    Warwick Thumb 4 bolt-on:
Verrry nice. This is still the first bass in 20 years that has caught my ear. I love it, love it, love it...

    Warwick Custom Corvette 4:
This one is one of the lighter woods, and it also was extremely sweet. Actually, I haven't been overly impressed with the Corvettes, but (and for $2100 it better be!) this one was flat out gorgeous and sounded great(just a tad nicer than the Thumb).

    Pedulla Thunderbolt 4:
Used, but again, excellent sound and very comfortable to play.

    Yamaha SBV500:
I commented on this one in another thread; some quirky, and awkwardly fashionable pieces, but overall a nice sounding bass.

Now, if only I had that $2100..........

I played one of those custom Corvette 4's at GC too. It was a damn fine bass. The guy tried to sell me on it, but then I showed him my bank receipt and he physically threw me out of the store. J/K, but he did kick me out... it was closing time.
