Went to 5 music stores today: No 6 string bass

Waiting for my shipments of TIs and a cool Steve Lawson Elites signature set from the UK. The Modulus Q6 fretless came from EBay with a hodpodge of strings (including a second G instead of a high C...seller was a character).

So I drive all over the lower hudson valley visiting all sorts of music stores (and two in lower manhattan). None of them had six string bass strings in stock except for one store that had a stainless steel set.

From the action on TB it would seem extended range basses are rampant. Most of these retailers seemed surprised I was asking.
