    We're trying to work this song into our rotation, but I cant seem to get that walk-up riff during the chorus quite right. Everything I try sounds one-off somewhere.

    Anyone got the notes for this handy?

    Thanks

  2. Hi, very nice son and beautiful bass line.
    I think the riff you are talking about is :

    Code:
    H = Hammer On
    A = 10, B=11, C=12

        H H   H HH
    |----------9AB---|
    |----79C-9C------|
    |5-79------------|
    |----------------|

    If you are interested in the full tab, I just wrote it (thanks to you) there

    Have fun and thank you for the idea to play that song.

    That would be the riff.

    I do thank you and will give this a test run durting next rehearsal!

    Thanks again

  4. About the riff, the notes are correct (100% sure), but perhaps you could find other positions to fit better to your way of playing.

    (Oops I just noticed I forgot the string names :ninja:)

    Code:
    H = Hammer On
    A = 10, B=11, C=12

         H H   H HH
    G|----------9AB---|
    D|----79C-9C------|
    A|5-79------------|
    E|----------------|

    For instance, if you prefer, you could replace D12 (DC on the tab) by G7

    Code:
    H = Hammer On
    A = 10, B=11, C=12

         H H   H HH
    G|------7--79AB---|
    D|----79--9-------|
    A|5-79------------|
    E|----------------|

    So you can change what you want if you keep the sounds the same, because they are ok.
    (Of course, on the second example with the G7, the Hammer On should be adapted)
