i am a big les claypool fan, and when I saw Primus live this fall, he used a whamola, and it was absolutely amazing.
My friend and I have decided that we want to build one...
we know how to do everything except make it electric (like putting in pickups and such.) we are totally blind as to how it would work. any help would be appreciated.

Well I know he uses a half of a p pup on it... I'm not a 100% on how the two halves are connected, but a quick look at some schematics, looks like, splicing one half from the other, grounding that black wire that connected the two parts, and wiring the other lead straight to an output jack is probably what you want to do.

Hell, instead of cutting a P pup in two, try putting a whole Jazz pup on there, see what happens.

C'Mon, people, lift your own finger and do a search of this site - there's already a thread on this specifically, and it includes a schematic . . . . :meh:
