Same for me...2024 Rickenbacker 4003SW. I always strayed away from Ric’s and honestly never really got a chance to play one. I just heard a bunch of bad stuff. This one had the single truss rod and a better bridge. The pickups aren’t noisy either. If they are all like this one I would recommend.
This ^, or PJB BG-80 - purchased about the same time....
It’s such a nice instrument. I’m still getting used to mine as I normally play a Gibson G3 or Stingray. I used the 4003 at my show last night and honestly was impressed how comfortable it was. My stingray special is comfy but that rickenbacker is just right. Never thought I would say that.Same for me...
My last purchase was also a 4003SW last March right on time for my birthday,.
I had ordered one without prior testing and fortunately got it luckily already 1 week later being in the right time windows I assume.
I was longing for a Ric for so many years being a prog head, but always stayed away because of the so many quirks and testing one could prove difficult up here as they are rarely in stock anywhere.
After reading that most of the quirks were addressed and after they brought back the gorgeous skunk stripe and a slimmer neck profile, it was now the right time.
Could not be happier, my only Ric experience and it is a keeper without a doubt...
The build is making progress. This is the top that will be on it.Do deposits count? Last month, I put a deposit down on a Ruokangas bass. Normally they do bolt-on necks, but earlier this year they did a couple of neck-through basses just to do it. One of them inspired me, so I ordered a neck-through Ruokangas bass with the tube driven pickup. This is the bass that inspired me.

The spark is a great unit for home practice with both bass and guitar. $125 is a great deal! Also works fantastic as a BT speaker for just streaming music at a party.I just picked up a Positive Grid Spark 40 off FB Marketplace locally for $125.
All I know about it so far is 1-it works, 2-the app connects to it and can do lots of things I haven't even close to have mastered yet.
I'll use it with my Crafter Thinline and Strat but there is a bass section so that might be interesting too.
It seems like it'll be good for my guitars. Now I just have to figure out the whole Tone Cloud/preset function. The manuals are pretty unfulfilling. The spark is a great unit for home practice with both bass and guitar. $125 is a great deal!
