    I just scored an empty Dr.Bass 112
cab with 1 space air head.

I'm looking for suggestions on which
12" neo speaker to put in it,i'd like
to keep it at reasonable cost under
    200. if possible,Dr.bass ships these
with eminence deltalite II = 129.99.

    suggestions please on other neo's

    Cab outer dimensions are 19.5 H x 20.75 W x 15.5 D

I play country/blues so just need something
that'll work well not to high end.

    thx for your responces

Well, if it ships with DeltaLite II 2512 they're designed for DeltaLite II 2512. You can't just slap any 12 inch in there and expect it to work.

What's wrong with DeltaLite II 2512 in your opinion?

Well the 2512 is ok, but i'd just like to get some other suggestions comparable to eminence, i was looking at B&C HPL 76 i think that's what was in my Markbass 112 combo, certainly a good speaker, the 2512 is priced right..

Does anyone know if Selimium make 12" neo's
    what about McM?

    Yup. DeltaLite II 2512.

  5. That's a tiny cab. You are looking at less than 2 cu ft. The 2512 would probably sound smoother and fuller if it had a bigger cab. Problem is that you will have a hard time finding any 12 that doesn't have about an 80hz peak and and about a 60 Hz f3 in that cab. The basslite 2012, for instance, has almost the exact same curve in that box.

I'd call Marc at Dr Bass and ask him what would work best. Just tell him you have one of his cabinets and he can give you an idea. I know he has been using some 12" Selenium neo's lately. Parts Express has this one for a little more than the 2512.Selenium 12W10P-Nd 12" Neodymium Woofer.

Taking a dartboard approach to matching a driver and cabinet has about the same liklihood of success. For every bullseye made there will be a few dozen misses. To make a driver switch that's worthwhile one must know how drivers and enclosures work. If you don't you're best off not messing with it.

    Thanks for the responces all,
i'm thinking i'd be better off
    sticking with what the cab
    was designed for (2512):)

The OPro is a PA midbass driver, with only modest bass response. The 2512 outperforms it below 180 Hz.
