For example, I've tried a Fender Jazz V, Stingray 5, Ibanez BTB405, and Peavey Cirrus 5. The Fender and EBMM had pretty round necks, but the Ibanez and Peavey necks felt pretty "flat," if you can understand what I'm saying. It was more like a rectangle profile than an oval, I guess.

In any event, what basses have flatter necks like this? I'm not really concerned about nut width or anything, I just thought that those flatter necks were pretty comfortable.

Pedulla Rapture is extremely flat. I picked it up and disliked the neck. Guess I'll never be buying a Pedulla.

  10. I played a Peavey 6 string that had a really comfortable flat neck.

  11. The flattest that I've played is a Modulus Quantum. Too flat for my preference.

For me one of the best five strings I played was a Warwick Thumb NT.Perfect B for me and a realy nice neck IMO.

  13. All the Warwick Thumbs i've played have baseball bat necks which is exactly the opposite of what he's looking for. :eyebrow:

Not trying to be a smartass or anything. I'm just sayin'.

My 98' Thumb is oh so not like a baseball neck. It's a mix between the two, it's very comfortable for me.

What kind of Thumbs did you play? Sorry to hijack the thread.

True, Quantum's are indeed flat ,but the finish on the neck felt good. Rapture's are flatter though :ninja:

Carvin BB75, very flat, very wide (19 mm spacing) and asymetrical (thinner on G string side than B string side). My absolute fave 5 string neck of all time.
