What a Thin Line We Walk......

Discussion in 'Bassists [BG]' started by millsbass5, Jun 28, 2014.

  1. I honestly believe if this song were popular in the present time, and, the bassist happened to be a no-name, the music critics would give the bassist hell for developing a line that's "
    too busy".
Ol' James is one busy player. But, in a good way. It's hard to nail that type of style that won't hardly let you come up to breathe every now & again.

Screw critics. Do what you want, and if they don't like it, it's their problem.

Do music critics usually care what the bass player is doing?

Do bass players need villains more than the players of other instruments?
