    I'd say go for it since most of the TBers stand by SXs religiously. But, also go to the ESSEX bass guitar MEGATHREAD. Try posting this there and you'll probably get more responses.

    The price is not "too good to be true" at all; it's fair to both the buyer and seller, these sold for about $150 new. I've played this model and it's a hell of a nice bass for the price. Recommended. SX has other 5 strings at www.rondomusic.com but not the BG205 model currently.

    As Phil said, not too good to be true but certainly fair. That series of SX bass is not currently available through Rondo. Very nicely built bass for the price, a better instrument than the current SX 5 string basses available. Worth the price ....

    Thanks for the responses. When I said "too good to be true" I was speaking in terms of comparable basses costing three to four times more than this one. Wish me luck on the auction!
