What album did JPJ switch to Alembics?

  3. I think the best example of JPJ's Alembic is Ozone Baby off Coda. :bassist:
     
  4. always dug his tone on that. kind of almost a MM sorta tone, too, eh?

    i love Coda...i think it largely captures Zeppelin as a bar band. i know that's an unpopular opinion amongst Zep fans. oh well.

    My recollection is that JPJ was much more involved with the production of Presence and Coda. Those tunes were (in general) more "bass-centric" than their earlier work. Or it could be that HiFi Alembic tone... hard to ignore.
