I haven't really gotten many *new* albums.

I think the last one I got on the day it was released was "full circle" - hieroglyphics
  7. I have gotten most of the Dave Matthews Band albums on their first days

    Don't think I ever have.

I have been buying older discs lately, 60's-70's, some eighties, skipped the ninties.

The most recent cd I have bought is Los Lonely Boys and I really like their sound. Kind of a mix of Blues/Beach Boys/Traditional Mexican/Pinch of Rock, and the whole band is very, very good.

The ones I can think of:

King Crimson - The ConstruKction of Light, The Power to Believe, Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With.

    Pantera - Great Southern Trendkill

John Frusciante - Shadows Collide with People

    Meshuggah - Nothing

I don't really pay too much attention to release dates. I just go and browse mostly.

    Anything by:

Matthew Good (if imported pre-orders count)
    Ben Folds
I'll also be picking up the Matches major label CD when Epitaph re-releases it in May (as I suggest any fans of good pop-punk also do).
  12. I have pre-ordered every New Found Glory album, so I get them delivered the day they come out. And I think I did that with the latest Ataris album as well.
  13. I always buy the new albums from these guys whenever they come out.
    -Iron Maiden
-Sisters Of Mercy(but who knows when or if they will release another album :()
-Im fan of Dio as well, but i havent really been consistant at picking up his albums...but im seriously thinking about starting to pick them up more regularly when they come out.

Most recently: "Dub from the Secret Vault" by Twilight Circus Dub Sound System. Release date is today, and according to CD Universe it was shipped yesterday (advance order) so I hope I receive it today!

Aside from that: I don't pay attention to release dates either, but off the top of my head here are a few more artists whose recordings I automatically buy:

    Aphex Twin
    Butthole Surfers (yeah, even now)
    DJ Cheb I Sabbah
Painkiller (can't keep up with all releases from Zorn, Laswell, or Harris, unfortunately)
  19. Tortoise
    The Sea and Cake

Fuzzbass, I just listened to some Twilight Circus Dub Sound System online. Cool stuff. I'm going to see if my local music store has any in stock.

Because you are currently infatuated with dub, I predict you'll soon be infatuated with Twilight Circus. :) Happy hunting!
