i am on my second attempt at wiring the piezo in my eub to a vlume pot and an output; both times after i'm finished soldering and i plug it in i hear a noise when i turn the volume pot but no volume.

i am wiring the lead from the piezo to the right lug, the output to the center lug on the pot and the right lug on the output and left lug on the vol pot to ground and the left lug on the output to ground.

    Help please !
  2. Umm, not sure but, don't piezo's need extra amplification? Talking like an active stage. Not real sure, cause I don't have much knowledge regarding piezos (theory about how they work but no experience with real-world).

What sort of noise is it? Might help, cause it sounds like its wired right...

You shouldn't use a volume pot with a piezo without the preamp because the impedance of your piezo is very high. If your vol pot is 250 K (standard for the passive pickups), you will divide your piezo output voltage by 10 or even more.
