I just got a GK 1001rb II and now Im really interested in getting one of these pedals for some tube grit (not really a full-on distortion guy).

So my question is what amp or pre-amp does this pedal sound close or does it really just depend on the tube you use.

I really like the sound when you turn up the input gain on an amp w/ a tube pre in it and that is what im going for.

    Thanks alot,

  2. I've always thought that the Blue Tube is based on the Classic 60's Fender Bassman circuit but they added a midrange, sure sounds that way to me. One of the studios I work in puts my bass thru a rack mount version and it sounds nice and warm and round.
