    Hartke maybe?
  3. A next door neighbour! I live in Turkey. Your English is completely comprehensible, by the way.

Trace Elliott might be an idea, too. They are reasonably cheap as well.

Take a look at the Carvin line-up if it's available to you in Greece (my wife is Greek).

Carvin offers a line of combos from:

    100W into a 10" $280
    100W into a 15" $300
    160W into a 15" plus tweeter $400
    600W into 2-10" plus tweeter $770
    600W into 1-15", 2-8's, plus tweeter $860

Carvin makes good, rugged stuff that is generally recognized as the 'most bang for the buck.'

I would also consider Hartke, Gallien-Krueger, Trace Elliot, even Crate. If you have the funds, you might consider Ampeg or SWR.
  5. Your English is much better than my Greek.

Crate? ew.. i tried those Fender Bassmans... very nice combos.. compared to those Fender BXRs.. u should check them out too. :) or the SWR Workingmans. very nice ones
  7. what sorta size u lookin for?

if its just a small cheap one, go for the
    120 watt Laney hardcore max.
It cost me about $550. Its nice. I like it.

hiya newstead. if you can spend the full 900 bux, then you're looking at things like this:

    carvin cyclops (870 or so)

    GK 400rb 2x10 combo (750) /700rb 1x12 combo (750) /mb150 combos (730-830)

    nemesis 4x10 combo (840)

    ampeg B3158 combo (800)

    SWR workingman's 15 (700)

    fender bassman 400 (910)

    hartke 2115 combo (700)

I would reccomend comparing as many of these as you can. check www.musiciansfriend.com for alot of these items, www.samash.com for the hartke. out of these choices, i would lean towards the gallien krueger 700rb/1x12 (plenty of power, add an extension cab later), the nemesis 4x10 combo (clean, 'modern' sound - eden quality), or the fender bassman 400 (plenty of power, add an extension cab later). if you don't want to spend the full 900, look for the step down models of the things listed.

one other option would be to buy an inexpensive head...

    hartke 2000/3000/3500/4000 heads (370, 420, 450, 500 dollars respectively)

    gallien krueger 400rb (450-490)

peavy nitrobass or firebass (450-550 i believe - can someone confirm these prices?)

    trace elliot ah150-7 (460)

    swr workingmans 2004 (450)

    ampeg b2r (550)

    and cabinet:

    carvin 4x10 (400) or 2x10 (300)

    sunn 215 (420) or 4x10 (450)

    nemesis 2x10 (380) 2x12 (480) 4x10 (530)

    eden 2x10 coaxial (450) d-115xlt (570)

    ampeg bse410h (500) svt210he (400) svt410he (550)

    swr bass monitor 12 (350) workingmans 115t (400) workingman's 2x10t (370) goliath jr. 2x10 (550

    aquilar gs115 (570) gs210 (600)

    fender 4x10t (410)

    peavy 4x10tvx (4??)

there are many combinations here that would add up to around 900 dollars. play some of these things in music stores if you can. decide what sound you like best. basically anything listed here is pretty good quality stuff. i hope this has been helpful - sorry for the long post.

if you want a combo i'l suggest you the ampg b100r. only 100watts but, trust me, a lot of decibels and a really good sound for every situation.
