Does anyone know any good bass solos?
Over the years I've listened to Abe Laboriel quite a bit. He does some excellent things on most albums he's on. The one that stands out in my mind is on an album called "High Places - The Best of Ron Kenoly". It's a gospel album, you might have to go to a Christian book store to find it. Check out the track "Ancient of Days" wow. Some other very cool bass lines throughout the album too.
I have the Flecktones CD "One Cuckoo Flew Over the Rest" with Wooten on it. of course everything he does is unbelievable. And I love Michael Manring - "Thonk"
Oldies but goodies, I know, but I don't get out much.
Victor Wooten - A Show Of Hands
Power - Marcus Miller

Way too many to list here, though!!

The Front Page album also has many great Dominique solos on it.
