i am looking for some strings that are really mellow, but have a high finger noise,so i can turn up the midrange without them sounding harsh.

  2. don't you mean low finger noise?

  5. but it doesn't make sense...if you turn up your midrange with strings that have high finger noise it sounds harsh!

I found TI Jazz flats to have quite a bit of plucking-hand noise, which is what I assume we're talking about. Kind of a string-bassish swish-thump. And yes, boosting the mids, especially around 750-800 Hz. accentuated the sound.
