Please tell me what pickups are good for a Squier vintage modified Jazz Bass.
I play rock, and my style is 65%, and 35% slap 'n' pop.
I play every kinds of rock, but I play classic rock the most.
Please tell me some pick-ups that will fit my style well.

    Thank you. :p

  2. the ones in it aren't all that bad. But that aside, all kinds of people make J pups that will fit. I like Bartolinis, had them in a few of my Jazz style basses. Sadowsky makes some decent pups too I hear, but then again, a no name brand like that is kind of risky :)

for the money...Dimarzio J's. If money is not an issue than you can look at Nordstrand, Lane Poor, Delano, etc. The pickup section can make you crazy if you spend too much time there.

  4. I have Lindy Fralins (single coil, steel pole piece, 5% overwound) in mine, and they're very aggressive -- great for rock and pretty darn good for slap.

    They're pricey though. :(

On a tighter budget, I'd look at the Dimarzios.

Have you tried different strings? That's the cheapest and fastest way to change your tone right there. You might find that the stock pickups work fine with different strings.
