I bought Nino's old new Tokai. It's not bad. It does need a refret because there's a hump in the 12th fret region and I can't set the action where I like it, but other than that I like it. The finish work is very nice, the neck shape is comfortable, and it's not too terribly heavy. Mine's alder with a maple neck and a nice pau ferro fingerboard. It's a great affordable Jazz style bass. I wouldn't pay over $350 though.
