    In response to the "TOWNIES GO TO HELL" thread i was curious as to what TB folks like yourselves thought you were classified as.
    Additionally i was wondering what the list is for "sterotyping" people...anyone know of any names to sterotype people? I'll kick-off with the obvious one;

    *Goths - Dark clothed people, often have a dislike of the sun, enjoy metal music usually, wearing jewlery items such as dog-collars with spikes on and very big trousers (e.g. 4sizes too big for them) for a "baggy" effect and occasional hard-core goths wear makeup.

    If your example could be like this, it'd be grand - btw keep it light humour folks :D

    Take care and sterotype away!

    Metalhead- Has long hair, wears black pretty frequently but isn't a goth. Always wears band shirts and only talks about music with other metalheads.

    That what I am stereotyped as. I'm also the one kid who is obsessed with horror movies.

    Then there are the jocks, skaters, cheerleaders, punks, emo kids, hippies and stuff like that.

    I am a subtype of the metalhead class, a metalgeek. I love power/prog and doom/stoner metal. I think Dio is the best vocalist ever. I used to almost always wear band shirts but only wear them to shows now (got tired of people looking at me like I was a freak).

    I identify most with punk rockers, however, that term is so broad (and so corrupted) that it's not even worth stereotyping.

    Hipster: Inhabits the areas of large cities that still maintain the "tenement house/bohemian" aspect but are still gentrified enough to have 18 sushi resturants [i.e. Williamsburg Brooklyn, Area around Honore st in Chicago etc.] Loves ironic and vintage clothing, though he/she believes irony is dead and apathy is uncool; still remains ironic, post-modern and apathetic. Likes art for art's sake because it's easier to criticize. Loves dance music and music with a big beat, but doesn't like dancing. Loves gentle, poetic acoustic music, but finds singer/songwriters extremely lame. Works at low-level temp/administrative job to maintain a sense of working-class street cred, or as a TA for a local college's English department. Often puts out fanzines full of gushy interviews with artists, followed by vicious reviews of that same artist's latest record.

    Personality wise, I'm a cynic... People think I'm an ******* at first, but then realize im just sarcastic and dont mean any of it... I can be social, but I don't mind being alone. I'm definitely not a source of sunshine and happiness...

    Looks wise, probably a mix of stoner/skater/nerd/punk

    A few band shirts (Tool, incubus, dropkick murphys, blink182, van halen) some logo shirts... shoes, its black vans all the way... and pants, its either black dickies shorts or jeans.

  16. I think I would be considered a hipppie by most based on musical preferences and other things, but not clothing style or beliefs. I'm a fan of clenliness+logic.

    How about an Old Geek A$$hole?

  18. Just add a little bit of computer geek to that, and you got me. Otherwise, that's the closest stereotype to what i am that i have ever heard.

    I'd describe myself as a:
    Shizoid, narcissistic, cynical romantic.
