we are a pop-punk trio....and are having trouble with a band name...

  2. COM21=SUM41 rip-off. I'd stay away from that one.

Breakdown 87 sounds fine, has a number and all that....*meh*

Papercut could work if you were one of those "harder edged" pop-punk bands.

    My 2 cents.

I voted papercut, because it's a noun and lacks pretention and meaning....actually,it probably suggest rock...a little on the heavy side??

    Beware the numbers........they suck.

  5. How about "Brokedown" it's not good English - but neither are most pop/punk trios

    just kiddin'

Back in the day, we used to take the letters in the band members names and make something out of it.

(of course that time was known as "the bad band name era") :D :D

Call it enemies of melody, taht wa smy dads punk band name when he were a nipper.

No offence, but none of those names make me cringe enough to be used as pop punk names as I cant associate them with a group of ugly 30 year old blokes dressed as though they're 13 :/

  7. If you don't mind using another band's song as your band name...i suggest International Cover-up. I think that sounds pretty sweet. It's a rancid song :D

  9. Breakdown. not a big change from your current name, and it loses the whole "number thing". a lot easier to say/remember/etc. than with 87 on the end.

Your name definitely would improve if you dropped the "87" from it. I think the number thing is sort of over plus I was never a big fan of it anyway... Of course you could also call yourselves "Music-related topics belong in Miscellaneous" ;) :bag:

    I like it!

  14. I don't want to make your search any more difficult. but "The Saving Grace" or "Saving Grace" is not taken and I think it'd be a good name for your genre.

  15. Somewhere in England (or that region) there's a police strip-show called the Scotland's Yard.

    I love it. :p :D

No that not what I meant, I meant along the lines of when I hear the word (and numbers) blink182, sum41 etc I get an image of late 20 blokes dressed in early teen clothing :p
