What band/song do you think of when it comes to carnival rides blasting their music?

    Crue - Wild Side
    Van Halen - Panama
Great White - Once Bitten Twice Shy

  2. Sweet Child O Mine or other GNR tunes seemed to blast out of every set of speakers back when my kids were "carnival" age. Haven't been to one in years now.

  6. It used to be this, but all the carnivals I’ve been to in the last 10 years (lots with two kids), that stuff has more or less been replaced by slightly dated contemporary pop (Katy Perry/Gangnam Style)...except for the dated rock-themed rides that are still somehow adorned with images of Kiss and Ted Nugent (that my daughter finds downright terrifying, lol).

  7. Based on my KISS collection in our basement my kids always point out the KISS images, LOL

When my daughters were little, they each had friends that didn't like to go down there by the "scary clowns!" :smug:

  8. it is interesting to note that I got on some slow roller coaster back in the 70's and the air was laced with cotton candy and teen phermones.
This thing was blasting out "How deep is your love" by the Bee gees.
    Random but 70's
    ;)

The Band-Life Is A Carnival. Garth's organ does it.

Back 1989-1990 I worked a couple summers at one of the largest roller coaster parks in the Midwest. The ride I was stationed closest too played a loop of 6 songs. The only one I remember is Paula Abdul - Straight Up. That song in indelibly written into my memories of working there.

My carnival days were of an older vintage than most of these...the one I remember is "Bad Moon Rising" by CCR.

Billy Squier, Steve Miller, and Eddie Money were the ones I heard over and over from the 80s into the late 90s.
