What bass has a small cursive 'i' on the headstock?

Bass player/singer for the local 3 piece band Hellbat was playing one last night thru a miced Peavy TNT, and it had a really cool nasty tone to it.

Anybody know what it could be? It had 2 soaps and was kinda Ibanez shaped in the body & stock

Were they at Blue Moon again? I've run into Grant before, but never heard their music live (to be honest, it's not my thing).

Here's another couple of photos, but this is a P/J bass.

Yea, the Blue Moon. I've seen em like 3 other places around town. Geunther plays and sings like he's got mad cow disease or something. I dig three pieces that bring it like that.

I see now that above photo is from their Bandcamp page, with the bass in question. Wish I could post an MP4 video from last night :/

Bingo! I swear it had two soaps, and wasn't a P/J, but I can't tell from the videos I took cuz it had a purple black finish, so it's hard to see. Plus I drank a bunch of beer & cider drool

Definitely. You can tell by the shape of the head stock. Pretty narrow like an ibby but really flat on top. And it sticks up pretty high above the top tuners.

So I'm guessing maybe a cheap knockoff of the famous Apple i-Bass?

  15. Hmm. The bass player must not like being paparzzi'd
(Hint: Note which finger is not fretting in both pics.)
    Party on Garth! :wacky:

Brian Moore actually used to(maybe still does?) sell ibasses and iguitars. My brother had one like 15 years ago. Pretty decent budget/boutique stuff.
