What bass was used for the seinfeld theme?

    I started playing bass 8 months ago because of the seinfeld theme song. but does anybody know what bass the musician used? it sounds absolutely incredible, maybe too good for a 'real' bass. thanks guys :p

    It is a synth. Sorry to let you down, but try it out on bass see how close you can get yours to sound.

    i can get it to sound fairly close though. :p i found it was the best excersise for slapping and popping.

    A guy named Jonathon Wolff was the composer and musician on that track. He's also done the work on Caroline In The City, Married With Children, Who's The Boss, and Will & Grace among others.

    just sounds like a stingray to me...am i the only one who thinks slap bass is rubbish? :help:

    I was listening to that the other day, already knowing it was keyboard, it really doesn't sound authentic when you are aware. Those crazy people trying to fake the funk.

    Slap bass just isn't my style. That's what my DX7 is for :)
